This year is the 75th season of the FIA Formula One World Championship and will run from March to December. F1 is the highest level of single-driver motorsports and definitely the most prestigious.
There is another action-packed F1 calendar to enjoy, with Max Verstappen aiming to win his third consecutive drivers’ title. His Red Bull Racing team are also aiming to become the constructors’ champion once again.
The F1 calendar started in February with the Bahrain Grand Prix and will go through 24 races and tracks, culminating with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the beginning of December. All the drivers and teams will be battling it out all across the world to the delight of the sport’s millions of fans.
What is the Format of F1?
The F1 calendar is scheduled for 24 races, roughly every two weeks from the beginning of March until the beginning of December. At some stages of the F1 calendar, there are races every week.
Along with the plaudits of finishing on the podium, there are points to be won at every Formula 1 Grand Prix race. These points are collated throughout the season in order to determine the drivers’ champion and the constructors’ champion. With two drivers in each team, there is the potential for a constructor to win the title without their driver winning their title.
